Well, I think I may be one of the lucky ones, I actually got a refund from PayPal for my 'Samsung' SODIMM 333mhz 512mb RAM. What a load of Crap!

I checked the RAM with CPUZ and what I found was that it was 512mb, but it was NOT Samsung, nor was it 333mhz. It was listed as Unknown Branded 166mhz 512mb. I bought some new RAM from my usual stockist and it worked much better and CPUZ authenticated it.

And what about the sticker that is plastered across the chip? VOID IF REMOVED - Hah! You cannot even read the modules or their specific numbers on them to identify.

BIGGEST BLOODY CROOK I have ever had the misfortune to meet.

So, for people who are just finding out how crook this (I cannot even repeat what I have been calling him in public) make a claim on PayPal, get your refund and let's all stand up to this idiot. He advertises as the item as 'Brand New' what a crock!

I don't even think he knows or understands how PC RAM works or even where it is put (I would love to place this RAM in a nice UNCOMFORTABLE place in FASTMEMORYMAN). What a Wanker.

Yes FMM got me too! I ordered 2Gb SDRAM and of course the high-density stuff doesn't work with mainstream PCs like Dell, it's obscure cheap junk for very specific old systems. If you look up 'DDR SDRAM' on Wikipedia it gives a very good explanation under 'High Density vs. Low Density'. OK so fmm is saying 'buyer beware' but it is a real scam for a power seller to do this after so many people have made this mistake. Most punters don't know what their chipset is or what high-density is. I asked fmm if it would work with a Dell and got no reply so I went ahead and ordered - what a d!ckhead I am!
Does high speed, high quality, high definition, high performance, high fidelity etc not imply better? So what would Jo Public think high density means? I think my stupidity has shown that I am very dense, but does that make me high density because I still weigh the same - oh hang on, no that's not true I'm $60 lighter. Just call me fatnomemoryman!

I must confess I am a crook. I buy huge quantities of reject/obsolete/unwanted stock from large manufacturers. All CPU, RAM, chips are tested and graded. In any manufacturing process batches are sample tested and if the batch has more than a certain number of failures then the batch is either downgraded to a lower quality or rejected. This was how floppy discs were sold as high density - they were the same as normal discs but their test results were higher so they were guaranteed to be able to store more data. I buy all the crap the computer world throws out and, because a lot of it works OK or the faults are not noticed by the user, I get away with some good feedback as I sell the items dirt cheap and claw back money on delivery charges and by witholding carriage and transaction fees on faulty goods. The name brand manufacturers reject anything with a certain percentage of errors or failures and I buy all the rejects up for peanuts and sell them to you suckers because over 60% of the reject stock seems to work in some fashion. Because ebay and Paypal encourage and harbour dishonest traders like me by making it so hard for punters to complain and get recourse for small value items I am making a very nice living. Thanks guys and keep on buying my tat because I think I'll need to find a good laywer soon. FMM

Gets even better. Bought 6 pairs of 2Gb DDR400 and got it yesterday. tested all and all working. Guess I was wrong - does use royal mail too. Ordered Friday - got it Monday. Stable at 433Mhz and 450Mhz with heat spreader. Also price went down.

Bought 2Gb DDR-arrived 15 days after payment. Works fine. Overclocked to 450Mhz and working fine too. I guess delivery is what he claims - 10 business days to UK. He doesn't use royal mail. He uses DHL bulk mail which is snail mail as such the late delivery. But I care less - for 1/4 the price an item which can even be overclocked. Even got a pair of free thermal heat spreaders. Buying next pair. Good luck

Hi guys, Well just had a phone call from my customer in Alice Springs Au who, via ebay, purchased 2 x 1 gig sticks ddr 400. He ended up with 2 x 512 gig sticks (they are marked 1 gig though) they work but are not what he paid fastmemoryman for..He is hitting a brick wall now trying to deal with this business and has been given the Ohio address. The ebay page claimed the business was in Oz. The chips were shipped from Germany and are marked "emartbuy"
